Social membership is also available for non-players who just want to make use of the Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse office is the domain of Clubhouse Manager Richard Green and Office Manager, Dorothy Melville, who are always happy to assist with any queries or bookings.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

The warm heart of the Tain Golf Club is the Old Tom Morris Bar and Restaurant, which has a reputation for excellence on all fronts. The relaxed atmosphere, snappy service and delicious food makes for the ideal “après golf” social setting.

Named for Scotland’s famous 19th Century golf celebrity, Tom Morris, who originally designed the Tain Golf Course, the clubhouse restaurant is open all day and into the evening, serving freshly made meals and snacks from appetising menus. The well-stocked bar has large windows overlooking the 18th green – the perfect place to knock back a dram of the local whisky.

When it comes to merry-making, Tain Golf Club is a popular venue that can be booked for catered private functions such as weddings, anniversaries, landmark birthdays and all manner of celebrations. There is also a corporate meeting space available for hire.

Junior Golf Coaching

An important duty of any Golf Club is to safeguard the future of the sport and encourage up and coming young golf stars.

At Tain Golf Club provision is made for three levels of Junior membership which come with coaching sessions, the use of Practice facilities, and the 9-hole Junior course as appropriate.

The aim is to guide juniors towards obtaining handicaps and take part in junior competitions, once they’ve learned technique, rules and course etiquette.
The Club is actively seeking more young girls to take up golf.

For details of Junior Membership and coaching sessions contact the Club office or the Pro Shop.
