A Great Golfing Destination

Tain Golf Club in Ross-Shire – an historic, classic Scottish Highland links course originally designed by Old Tom Morris, is situated just off of the A9 trunk road which runs into the wilds of northern Scotland, 35 miles north of Inverness.

It’s on a popular route for tourists who come from far and wide to explore the renowned North Coast 500 – one of the world’s great road trips.

Being the part of the world where the game of golf was spawned also means the east coast of northern Scotland draws a plentiful supply of enthusiasts heading for Highland golf escapes.

If you’re intent on playing golf in Scotland the Tain course is one of the greats, where visitors are warmly welcomed and catered for by the friendly staff and hospitable locals.

If you didn’t bring clubs, they are available for hire, as are buggies and trolleys and the services of a caddy.

Visitor Green Fees at Tain Golf Club

Visitor Green Fees are kept a very reasonable rate, varying by season, and it’s even more affordable if you take advantage of the “Twilight” fees during May, June and July when you tee off after 4pm and enjoy playing into the light Highland evenings.

Special Offers

There is also a special offer on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for tee-off times after 2pm, for which the charge is only £45 per round.

Cruise Line Offers

Tain also has a special offer available for cruise line visitors who are aboard ships that dock at the port of Invergordon, just 12 miles away.

If you are a golfer on a cruise, the club will arrange pick up from Invergordon, a round of golf, then return transport to the ship, all for £80 per person. The hire of golf clubs or other golf equipment is at a further cost.

Bookings can be made directly with the club.
