How to Join Tain Golf Club

There are a variety of membership categories offered at Tain Golf Club, including Full membership, Senior membership and Youth membership (19-25), available at very reasonable annual fees which can be divided into monthly payments.

From time to time the Club Management has special offers for membership subscriptions with various criteria attached – call the Club’s office to find out the current offers.

To join fill in a membership application form and submit it to Office Manager Dorothy Melville.

Membership of Tain Golf Club comes with reciprocal rights to play rounds of pre-booked golf at other courses in the area for negligible fees. You can, for example, tee off at Royal Dornoch, Strathpeffer Spa, Brora, Fortrose and Rosemarkie and many more.

Book a Tee Time Online

Tee times are available from 7.30am during the week, and 10am at weekends (subject to the competition schedule).

The club has a useful, secure online booking system for tee off slots for members, visitors and open competitions (including Tain Golf Week), which gives you email confirmation.

When you play at Tain Golf Club we ask that you abide by our play policies and protocols, the main ones being:

  • Check in at the Pro Shop at least 10 minutes before your tee time
  • The dress code is smart casual
  • Please repair all divots and pitch marks on greens
  • A four-ball round should be comfortably completed in less than four hours
  • Please give way to greens staff clearing areas before play
  • Use the practice area rather than practice on the course
  • Keep golf buggies and trolleys well clear of teeing areas, greens and approaches
  • Members must play with their guests when using their concessions

Becoming a member of Tain Golf Club is a straightforward process, and entitles you to all sorts of discounts at local businesses, as well as reciprocal arrangements with other local golf clubs (including Royal Dornoch).

Our friendly, sociable clubhouse is at the disposal of members and visitors with Old Tom’s Restaurant, bar and lounge providing a comfortable venue for pre- and post-game get togethers, with a highly rated menu.
